"Step Into My Parlor", Said The Sex Goddess To Her Subjects: Introduction and Prologue

For those of you who know me from my SmackDog Chronicles weblogs, I am a middle-aged Black male who happens to have some quite radical (radical Left, that is) viewpoints on most issues -- including on the subject of sex and sexual expression. However, due to the somewhat public nature of that blog, I was feeling a bit...well, hamstrung, to post some of the more...shall we say...intimate and racier thoughts that often venture into the mind of a pro-sex, pro- (progressive, non-degrading, and pleasure-centured) pornography/erotica, and generally average male such as moi.

So...to keep the SmackChron from going into "the gutter", so to speak, I decided to open up this space to keep my more intimate and private thoughts....as well as feature some hot, hot people...mostly women, who aren't afraid to follow their hearts -- and other more earthy portions of their anatomy -- into that path of ecstasy and tragedy and comedy and other such wonderful nonsense we call Sex.

Obviously, this blog will be a bit more adult oriented and somewhat more explicit in both format and in language than the SmackChron. So right away from the beginning, the usual disclaimers about any offense to discussions or images of sexual activities, orthe prohibition of inappropriate access by those under the legal age of viewing explicit content, or the posting of non-consensual sexual activity (consensual power play/BDSM involving consensual adults, of course, is exempt as always from such prohibitions), or ANY material involving underage persons...all those disclaimers do apply here. And, since I have no intention of turning this blog into a spam site for any old pornmeister wanting to push or pimp their wares, I will aggressively moderate this blog to eliminate any such spam on the spot.

Other than that, consider this space to be a pro-pleasure oasis from the cruelty of the real world, and a place to worship those who dare to shake the world up...one orgasm (or five) at a time.

Now...why the "Lady Chatterley" namesake?? Well, that's in small part a tribute to the original lead character in the D.H. Lawrence novel Lady Chatterley's Lover, who first embodied the beauty of a woman escaping the bounds of sexual propriety and seizing her right to her own pleasures. (Oh...and before you jump on the keyboard to correct me that it should be "Chatterly" without the last "e", I already know; it's spelled both ways, and I happen to like the former version...send all lawsuits to my Gmail account at anthonyk6319 at gmail dot com.)

The larger part, though, is dedicated to another, more thoroughly modern descendent of Lawrence's namesake; the lead character of a now defunct late night cable series called Lady Chatterley's Stories that ran on the Showtime cable TV channel from 2000 until 2002. Mostly, it is dedicated to as much the "ethical slut" philosophy that the more modern Lady C (whose first name, like her predecessor's, was Constance (or Connie for short), as was the physical beauty and sensuality of the actress who performed the role for much of the series.....namely Shauna O'Brien -- former Penthouse Pet (January 1992) turned legendary softcore model turned webmistress turned B-movie diva legend (now retired from the biz for the last two years, sad to say. (That's Shauna in the pic above, BTW; and below is a still of her playing the role of Lady C:)

(Actually, for the sake of accuracy, Shauna wasn't the original actress to play that role; an erotic actress -- and hardcore porn starlet named Chloe Nicholle was originally tapped to play Lady C. When I get some time, I will reset the whole tale of the Battle Royalle for the role of Lady Chatterley...it's a doozy.)

It is also as much dedicated to the real life legacy of the human legend known and loved by all as Nina Hartley.....long time XXX actress, full time educator and freedom fighter in all things sex-positive, and all-around kick-ass, and fine ass (and I do mean that LITERALLY) woman.

But, anyways....this blog will be so much more than me openly wanking (with both hands, of course) to such lovely ladies such as Shauna or Chloe, or paying the proper worship to human living sex goddesses and the slightly more earthbound men and women who follow them. (Though if you really, really want to wank off, you have my permission..I know how that goes.) I will also use this blog to touch on many issues concerning the more cultural and political and intellectual side of sexual liberation and sexual media, including my contribution to the ever lasting debate about the legitimacy of erotica and porn, sex work in general, and the role of sex positivity as an important aspect of human social improvement and social change.
