Moving The Boudoir To WordPress....Buh-Bye, Blogger!!

Well....I know that I haven't updated this blog in quite a while, but recent events have forced my hand.

On Thursday, I was one of the many who got the news of Blogger's change of policy involving adult websites, with the warning that all affiliate links or explicit banner ads have to be purged by no later than 7 PM PDT or any adult blogs containing such would be deleted.

Now, this blog does not contain any affiliate links or banner ads for hardcore sites, so that should be OK, right??

Problem is, though, the blogroll does contain links to the disclaimer pages to some hardcore sites (though no direct links to pay sections, just to the guest sections.

Even worse, Google, who owns Blogger, has been pretty vague as to whether or not their new policy would also include mere links to adult sites, or whether even linking to such pay sites would violate their new policy.

Therefore, just to be on the safe side, I will be saving all the posts and blogroll, backing everything up, and transferring the entire blog as an archive over to my self-hosted WordPress network today.

It may be that this blog escapes the censorship hand of Blogger....but I can't take any chances.

In the meantime, thoughts and prayers to those bloggers facing the wipeout of all of their data due to this misguided action by Google/Blogger.
